President’s Message for Website-- January 6, 2012
Women’s Council of REALTORS® is not your mother’s WCR.
We do lunch, but we are not a luncheon club.
Our membership is primarily women, but we welcome and value our men members.
We develop strong relationships among our members, but we are not a clique.
We train leaders, but not just for Women’s Council—for local boards, state associations, national associations, other professional organizations, community groups, political involvement, and for non-profit work, to name a few.
Women’s Council of REALTORS® is in fact the place to connect with other professionals in our industry who want to grow and develop personally and professionally. We promote each other through the LERN initiative: we develop Leadership skills, provide Educational opportunities monthly, make use of a wide Referral network, and engage in regular Networking throughout the country. And perhaps best of all, we form strong friendships that support and encourage us no matter what life brings!
If you are a REALTOR®, belonging to your local Women’s Council chapter means that you will come to know and appreciate other REALTORS® in your community and will be able to do the business of selling homes in cooperation with people you know and trust.
If you are involved as an affiliate working in an industry-related profession, you will meet and develop relationships with the people who come together to complete the real estate transactions.
Every member will be able to develop self-confidence as you participate in the group, and that confidence will translate into more confidence in your business.
Maximize your Women’s Council membership this year—show up at meetings, shoulder some of the chapter’s responsibilities, and share your enthusiasm with everyone you know. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!
